The Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL) announced in August that it has entered into an Exclusive Right Agreement with the RLA Revitalization Corporation to purchase and develop the Hines Funeral Homes Building at 14th and Harvard Streets, N.W. for its new headquarters. Read more »
The Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL) held its 64th Annual Membership Meeting on April 22 to update the community on League programs and services, recognize supporters and elect new Board Members. The meeting was held at The George Washington University, hosted by university president Stephen Joel Trachtenberg, who is a member of the GWUL’s Board of Directors.

On August 24, Commerce Secretary William M. Daley visited the Greater Washington Urban League Technology Resource Center to highlight President Clinton’s New Markets Initiative that promotes private sector investment in distressed communities.
